Questions to the students doing aeronautical engineering

What is involved in the 'aeronautical engineering' course (what r u suppose to learn? An example please.

What is the most likely potential employment opportunity to arise after completion of this course?

Is USYD offering a so called first year trial period for the new enginnering faculty students in 2004, where the students can attempt all the different areas in the engineering faculty? (i.e. electrical, mechanical, civil etc)

thanks

I've never heard of the engineering introduction trial period, it definately didnt happen when i started this year but who knows maybe they are offereing it next year.
One of my friends is doing aeronautical engineering and we have the same maths subjects while he does a different physics course.

uai required = 86
programs avail = all, except for electrical, computer, software, ecommerce, telco.....

How it works? U try out the flexible first year and at the end u go into specialisations of your choice...and you are guaranteed to get in so long as your previous years UAI is greater than or equal to the lowest UAI accepted for entry into the course the previous year...so say for example u think u would like to do computer engineering and the cutoff was 93 and you could easily have gotten in with 95....but wanna try out other things for a year,,,then this program allows u to do so....so say at the end of the year u change ur mind and u wanted to do chemical bioprocess, which was 93.1 in the previous years cutoff....then u can do so...

Amnother thing is that combined degrees are still available ...
