My Grandma knows this lady and her daughter (13 at the time) had her first boyfriend. Problem was, he was 35 or 36...

Still going out (shes about 15 now)

I feel sick hearing about it.

yeah that's the formula. i went on a date with a guy who's 25 the other day, i'm 19 and by the end of it, cool as he was we could both see that we just didn't speak each others' language. he'd never heard of getting with someone being described as a "hookup" and i'd never seen half the movies he said he liked. at this age there's a generation gap every six or seven years and getting smaller. you want different things out of relationships and life. a teenager who's going out with someone more than 15 years her senior is just looking for a father figure.

EDIT: TIMEWARP! this is meant to go below the next post down.

ok, this is dedicated to a BOS member who made a thread before how she had a crush on her younger neighbour, which i think is wrong, especially someone who hasnt reached puberty yet, my thoughts and opinions on this, do you think having a relationship with a younger person is right or wrong? im not talking about a girl age 16 dating a 18 year old guy, i mean a 17 year old girl having a crush on a guy younger than 13?? is that wrong or class as being a paedophile or a sex offender?
Well i know one gurl [ that wont be named obviously ] Who likes dating older men for the heck of it... I'm not saying 25 I mean like 44,42 old enough to be her father!

now do i think that's wrong... of course! because she dosent have the life experience....i mean she's a good friend and all but when she said that she was dating this guy i was kinda blown away in a negitive way.... *runs and hides*

dating older people well it depends on the age... the older they get the dumber you feel :p
No I mean dating younger people.

Im fine with older guys. In fact at one stage I would only date guys who were at least one year older :p

I find theyre more mature, but now I dont have a set rule for who I would or wouldnt date, if I like the person then it'd mean theyre mature enough so I dont mind.. But dating yougner kids? I think its wrong, but then again, if im dating someone older -theyre dating someone younger o: I just couldnt do it myself..

all i can say is you can't help who you are attracted to, but dating someone so young would be really weird...

It's because males are generally less immature than females of the same age.

So if you have the male being even younger, the maturity gap would be too large for the relationship to work.

i think that age gaps arent as much of an issue as the difference in life direction for different age groups.

if you mesh, you mesh. itll take one date to figure out whether you do or not, and after that youll always know.

im just saying this because you never know whether or not there could have been something great between you if you never gave it a go.

that said, wait until after puberty.
