Does being an all rounder guarantee you'll get over 99 ATAR?

Thanks

yeah 90 flat in each subject isn't enough.. but generally 80% of all rounders get 99+, because they do considerably well across all of their subjects 92/93+ in all

do you mean, if one of your subs is 90 flat you won't get 99+?
or if they all are?

coz i was definitely close to getting 99+, if my 4u was probs like an 85.

He means with any combination, a 90 flat in each subject will most likely not get you a 99+. However, "90" HSC mark isn't what's used to calculate your ATARs; it's the raw HSC mark (moderated assessment mark + raw exam mark), so it's hard to say if or if not a "90" HSC mark is enough or not.

Hey guys,
Just a question:

So, your raw HSC mark and moderated assessment mark are used to calculate your ATAR right?
However, my teacher has told me that no-one has ever achieved 90+ as a raw mark for English Advanced... The cut off was 75/105 apparently! So, does the ATAR calculator use this mark or the aligned mark, which will be around 90+?? Apparently, the highest mark was 84/105 or something.
Severely confused!!

Thank you

ATAR calculators use your final HSC mark (ie. average of moderated assessment mark + HSC exam mark) in their calculations. Of course this is not going to be 100% accurate, but it can fairly close.

Sorry, I meant when they calculate your ATAR at UAC do they use raw HSC marks or HSC marks (moderated assessment mark + aligned mark) ?

UAC uses the combination of your raw exam mark + moderated assessment mark = raw HSC mark.
