As everyone else has said, in centrelinks eyes, you are not independent. It doesn't matter where your course is, if you don't qualify for YA, you can't get living away from home rate.

Re scholarships: The ones for financial difficulty generally require you to be already receiving a centrelink payment. So you probably won't qualify for those either.

Well I'm screwed. Oh well, living off the bare minimum will just have to do for the next three years.
