There was episode on Fox 8 today called "The Girl Who Wants it Bad" and says something about 'the new girls'... is it starting today and I had no idea, or just a rerun?

EDIT: I see Adrianne... it's just cycle 1 again And I was getting so excited about the new cycle, too :'(

When I first started watching this I was so happy to see good ANTM again

And then... damn these girls are bitchy. I long for the girls of cycles 2 3 and 4 where they were just more mature, calmer, and just cooler... why do they have to start cutting themselves down so much?

That michaelin girl and samantha are BEAUTIFUL!

Natasha... ambivalent about her. She has such a slutty, over-the-top walk. And attitude. Hmm ok. Not sure I like her.

EDIT: WHAT? Michaelin didn't make it? the tattoo-ed Dita von Teese lookalike?
EDIT: (writing as I watch) I'm loving the two plus-sized models. They're beautiful, mature, calm, centred... love it. I hope they both get into the house!
EDIT: YAY both Whitney and Diana got it!!!!

Too early to give predictions yet, although I LOVE Samantha's look. I think Sarah (photographer) will go far as well... but she's a bit Melrose-y.

Micaelin would have been my favourite to win if she didnt have 20 tattoos.
1 or 2 would have been ok.

i've been watching cycle 3 again. it was a great cycle.
i watched yaya in 'Take the Lead' two nights ago. :uhhuh:

I love Michaelin so much that I still love her with the tattoos. I think she'd have a much more successful fashion career without them, but respect the fact she has them... in fact I think she was one of the models for this fashion line that specialised in 50s pinup styles? Interesting look.

And yeah, the girls from previous cycles were so much better why are all the current ones beautiful but bitchy? Where did beauty, maturity, personality and security of self go?

I'll agree with you there. I can't even understand 'weaves' full stop... why not just let the hair grow, and only get hair extensions if your hair is REALLY REALLY thin? America seems obsessed with the idea that natural hair isn't good enough for anything these days.

I totally thought jael was the one to go when it came down to the final two.
I'm thinking that the panel just wanted to eliminate the 'dumb model'.
I thought jaslene (the latino?) was awesome. She looks totally different in photos. highly commended was natasha, the white girl in the gay marriage shoot and the girl wearing fur.

I want Renee and Natasha to go. The first is too damn bitchy, the second kinda reminds me of a bad Jaela... over-the-top, and doesn't know how to do anything other than have people tell her she's pretty.

Of the two I really wanted Jael to stay - she had more potential. Is it Kathleen? Just so scatty... I was totally dumbfounded by how blonde she was acting :/ You can't expect to go into a professional modelling career with that lack of know-how!!!

ahaha. I think she might run into issues later especially with her strong jaw, but she's got an unusual look, and that'll take her for at least a few more rounds.

I'm dying to see how they makeover the girls. Two more episodes, right? They gotta get rid of that third-hand weave!

I think the Natasha story is a bit puzzling. She probably just chucked on the Russian accent to give her a better story and therefore make her be much more interesting.

I really am loving the plus size girls though. I hope they stay in for awhile longer. I think it is so positive to have real women in there.

Why have they just limited it to two plus size models though?

It would be interesting to have a house of half and half.

I do like the fact that they do have plus size girls in the comp but they aren't going to win, its been a topic in every cycle remember Toccara Jones from cycle 3 she didnt fit into the designer clothing

She's a model now (Toccara).. she was on Tyra Banks show! she was soo pretttyy!
