11 units= 9 free periods a fortnight

This includes 2 double frees first thing in the morning, which is great because I can sleep in. :D

We have the option of going to the library (where you go to work/dick around on a computer) or a designated room (where you go to dick around non-electronically). I usually go the library, I find they're good for homework as opposed to study, especially maths.

The banter around the table is usually quite good too.

Are free periods decent? It depends on how you use them obviously. But do you reckon it's worth having them?

I do 10 units and I get 21 free periods a fornight , each period is around 75 minutes because my school has only 4 periods everyday. I can go home early everyday except three days:). But I also have period 0s which start at 7.45 in the morning almost everyday:(.

Am I the only one to find 'study' periods almost completely useless?

I get my sleep done during study periods so I can actually function during the day.
30 minute sleeps are super for finding the proverbial new wind.

I have fourteen free fifty-three minute periods per week, and I am so, so sick of them. I actually look forward to class after spending that much free time with nothing to do on the school campus.

i have 12 a fornight.... (45, 50 or 55 minutes depending on what day)

but ours are compulsory, we cant come to school late and cant leave during the day or sign out until after lunch.

also ours are supervised and we HAVE to be in the library or senior study hall.

we cant even sit outside its SO lame!!!

I guess it's to try to make you use the time effectively. There isn't really any point to free periods, they're just unscheduled gaps in the timetable.
