Is a source analysis necessary during the introduction of an ancient history essay (Personality 25 and Period study 25)?

My teacher, who worked for HSC marking at one point maintains it is a good idea due to the fact that it makes it look better, but it is certain that it is not needed.

But it is very tedious and if the HSC markers don't need you to do it, I don't see why I should.

If your source analysis would assist you to answer the 25-marker then sure.

Otherwise, you would be better off writing content that is relevant in addressing the question specifically.

What personality and historical period are you are doing? I might be able to give you more specific insights. ^O^
