Hey.. who else has studied The Ancient city of Rome in the late Republic?
I have my yearly exam on thursday and we have only just finished this topic.
Im really unsure what to study as we really havn't done much in class at all!
If anyone else has covered this topic would you be able to tell me what you have covered please?

yea I just finished that topic. we pretty much covered the buildings of Rome such as the comitiumm. we have looked at gladiators, senators and the houses of the Roman Forum, the Curia, the mythology of how Rome began (Romulus and Remus)

we learnt about

geographic features of rome

enertainment such as circus maximus and bath houses

buildings ( there are heaps such as comitium, rostra, Curia etc)

gladiators

slaves

water and sewerage systems in rome (aqueducts and cloca maxima)

Pompey's theatre

Mythology

Religion

Death and burial in rome

Life in the city of Rome (this part was mainly on how romans couldn't sleep at night because of activties taking place in rome..and transportation)

Forum activities (types of activties and people)

Patrons and clients

vestal virgins

cursus honorum


yeah.. that's what we learnt..and got tested in our yearlies
