Anyone know what types of things anomalous result inquiries from principals would cover? Thx.

from memory, not much, they send back a very general report of why you got the marks you got, and that was about it.
like if your internal and external marks seem totally totally out of kilter, then you principle can request an inquiry into it, on top of you getting a clerical check.

basically, its just a way of showing your school acknowledges that your results seemed funky, and that your not just a disgruntled student with a higher opinion of yourself than is due to you in reality.

"9.5.1 Anomalous result inquiries from principals
Principals may seek an explanation of the results of their school’s candidature in any course where the performance of the group is below expectations. This service is not an avenue of appeal.
Only in rare instances will a student’s result be varied following such an inquiry. The corporate marking, automatic revision and reliability control procedures obviate the need for remarking, while clerical rechecks are available to ensure correct processing.
Inquiries must be supported by the principal’s reason for expecting a different result.
Inquiries will be thoroughly investigated by staff of the Board. If the inquiry refers to a group of students, the student names and numbers should be listed on the letter.
Principals will be advised immediately if any results have been varied and a brief written explanation of the results will be forwarded as soon as possible."
