Hey everyone, was just hoping for an ATAR estimate.

My ranks are:

Adv English: 2/98
General Maths: 27/155
Business Studies: 2/32
Legal Studies: 3/17
Modern History: 1/32

My school is ranked an unfortunate 491st :s

only an estimate.. Give or take 10 atar points. But you have to do very good in general maths though

As long as I get 70.00 or above I'll be happy, that's all I need for my Uni course. Hmm, as you can tell from my ranks, General is my weakest subject. Its my biggest cause for concern.

On top of this, technically it is 50% 50% but actually it is not. Your external examination worth way more than 50% as everybody does it at the same time and it is more accurate. But normally a person who topped at school tops external so...

The external examination isnt that much more accurate. Yes its versus the rest of the state, but its only one exam so people can do disproportionately good or bad. To do well internally you must be consistent over a series of exams. Also it is 50/50.

No, each school does different things and thus school assessment is inaccurate. I am not saying "fail your school assessment". If you do well in both, your mark jumps magically. School assessment mark affect your whole mark. I know this. However, coming last in school assessment and coming first in external is much much more more better than coming first in school assessment and coming last in external.

BUT THIS NORMALLY DOES NOT HAPPEN. 1st in assessment task comes 1st in external. NORMALLY.
