Whoever has my Digital Art's course place, they'd better look after it... I tried very little to get my portfolio up to scratch and ready. :p

I've established this thread in advance, but let us know after you get your offers!

so UNSW isn't a real uni?
hold on, it's increased again hasn't it.
But yes, 95+...apparently it's going to increase since the places at UC have been decreased.

Ignorance at its finest.

Whats your logic? UNSW is 4.35 better than ANU? Doesnt that mean USYD is .025 better than UNSW?

The UAI cutoff doesn't indicate that the teaching at UNSW is 4.35 better than ANU. It shows that Sydney is 4.35 more popular....demand, not quality.

And cherryblossom, please tell me that's a rumour about law going up at ANU? Otherwise I can kiss my plans for next year goodbye.

Well, that was implied in Mack's post...
I'm just hoping that with ANU being ranked, consistently, the top university in Australia that the cut-offs won't sky rocket.

To anyone that is planning to live in Canberra independently, when are you moving down there? I don't want to move now, but then I could leave it too late and miss out on the opportunity of finding something suitable. Any advice from 2004 and 2003 ANU students?

1) ANU Law has gone up by about 1/2 a UAI point since 2001 (from memory, when I skimmed past UAC booklets), if a rise is likely, it won't be dramatic.

2) Remeber, ANU takes alot of people who fall below the cutoff.

3) I'm going to be going down there a week before UNI starts, if I go to ANU.

4) Sydney/NSW/UTS and MAQ all have a higher cutoff because they are in a city of 4 million people.

Simple.

NB : ANU is considered the best university in Australia for post-graduate and research, I haven't seen anything regarding undergraduate degrees as of yet.

neo dear you're evil but I could hug you for that post...
no one mind Jago, he's obsessed with nancy.
You can apply for access or write a letter in....well the places are going down at UC so it's likely ANU will go up a bit. it's going to be harder to transfer in from arts as well. it sucks how you can't do arts (int rel)/laws :(
