Hey Guys,

I was wondering how strict universities are on their marking with UAI and STAT ?
and how its all done.

I know UWS and other universities choose your highest mark or years of experience.

I did the STAT test and I got 147 which is about 62 UAI and I need a UAI 65.

But I have actually worked in my industry for about half a year now so not sure if that would push it at all ?

I was wondering if I am doomed for this year or it would push it through.???

what're you applying for at UWS anyway?
they are usually quite flexible..

construction management .. i have already applied for main round offers in sept.

I worked as a estimator for about 6 months. and ive done about 1/3 of diploma

so not sure whats gonna happen

but yeh I think i got about 1 question or 2 wrong to not reach the 65 ... so im on 62.

what marks did you get in your diploma? if you got at least Cr average should be high enough to get in...

did you put your work experience in your application?


either way i think u got a v.good chance of getting in

Also... if you live in the greater west region you should get bonus points...

yer i got credit and distinc.. yeh it wasnt work exp.. i was part of a large company working of the architectures plans calculating costs and quantities.

its bs. it should be an accumulation of stuff but they say they just choose one .. i would have done better in the stat but i was just heaps nervous and didnt get one bit of sleep.. v gay.

i rekon unis should change it that they choose applicants on all the credentials put forward.

becuase now some truckie who prob had some sleep and who didnt even finish hsc or do a diploma, prob has a better stat mark and its annoying rofl.

Some places do, try putting forward an application for special consideration or something like that.
