My ATAR is 65.20- no where near the admission mark for the visual communication course in UTS. Are there any other ways to get in?

Yes... but I don't think my mark is even high enough for insearch ( admission- UAI 70.) Is TAFE an option?

Tafe is an option, and as mel said you can apply for uni afterwards , but as far as I know application closed at the end of october, so you should check it out, and i suppose it wouldn't hurt to take a short break to rejuvenate yourself. Good luck!

Apply for B Arts at UTS (you might get in, UTS always overstates their cut offs), and then transfer. UTS is quite lenient in their transfers. But you will need to do well at uni to transfer, i.e. 70+ average. (halfway between credit and distinction).
