If you absolutely pwn the preliminaries in any given subject?

Or is it just like any other yearly? (eye candy for asian parents)

at my school they gave awards for first and second in our subjects in preliminaries. but you should probably ask someone in your school who would know.

At my school you get an award for every subject you come first in, plus there's "Academic Excellences" that are given to people who I think get >90 in every subject.

lol i was supposed to top business this year and do it for the whities. but then I fucked up my half-yearly, now I have no chance... :'(

at our school they give out 1st, 2nd and 3rd placings for each subject - you get a trophy for first and the rest get a certificate, then theres Certificate of Merit for the 5 or 10 per cent of grade or something and thats a certificate + a medallion and then there's Dux and also some other all rounder and sports awards etc


our awards night will be next term soem time...anyways good luck to everyone hoping to get something

EDIT: We get these cute little certificates for UAI predictions- most improved and >=99.3. Source of bitching/panic/euphoria for about a week on end for the sadder portion of the grade.
