too bad I am gonna miss the whole O-week thing etc. =(
They do O-day, its a day and a half where all the clubs and societies put out stands in order to get you to join and there's usually a free sausage sizzle. Thats about the gist of the 'fun' stuff.deano059 said:does uts do the whole o week thing? or..wot do they do
so theres nothing like the orientation at usyd or unsw? do ppl find this makes it more difficult to meet ppl at uts?kami said:They do O-day, its a day and a half where all the clubs and societies put out stands in order to get you to join and there's usually a free sausage sizzle. yeh; do ppl socalise outside of o day/o week within their own and other faculties at uts?mitsui said:wat about outside o-week? o,o"
Unlike at school there aren't a bunch of identical things that you'll go through with pretty much the same people every day for six years. Rather, the onus is on you to find and socialise with people you like whether its through clubs and societies, or things you organise in your own time. Just remember its up to you to take the leap - if people aren't coming up to you then go to them.deano059 said:yeh; do ppl socalise outside of o day/o week within their own and other faculties at uts?
I'm not sure if I would say heaps - most of the activities are just tours or seminars.Huratio said:Other than clubs and society stands in building 1 there are heaps of other activities planned in other parts of the university campus.
I've been to orientations at the other universities, and thats mostly what its like there as well.deano59 said:so theres nothing like the orientation at usyd or unsw? do ppl find this makes it more difficult to meet ppl at uts?
