Anyone successful in receiving a graduate offer after completing vacation work over the summer?

Word around Melbourne is that only a third of vaccies everywhere were successful in gaining graduate offers.

How did you guys out there at the mid-tier/big 4 go with gaining graduate positions??

Reason most firms won't offer grad positions to as many vaccies as usual is that they want to take advantage of the market this year, where more "high quality" candidates will be available, where they would normally go to banks/finance sector/corporate (assuming banks etc are decreasing their intakes)

banks are alot harder to secure.

alot of my friends in ib summer this year are still waiting. the ones in corporate finance are even more uneasy.

anyways im not sure how it works but at where i work at u go straight to final round.

got an offer. not all of us did though.
