Depends in what you want to major in etc, and the units you do....

i.e actuary would require alot of maths, marketing however, not so much

Do a bridging course if u did General Maths, it is highly recommend. Otherwise you'll fail Econometrics/Economics/Accounting and end up turning tricks at redfern station for goon change.
ahh lol...i see...ah well, has anyone done it before? is it really intense n stuff? would have exams? ahh man

UNSW is ugly, the people that go to UNSW are ugly, the UNSW lecturers are ugly, the UNSW tutors are ugly, the UNSW groundkeepers and IT assistants are ugly.

USYD on the otherhand is hot and sexy with hot and sexy people, like me, cum to USYD and do Cummerce, but only if ur not ugly.

ahhh my sis goes to usyd she said its like 80% ugly people so your comments are just bs hahaha

Oh, bTW tommy. I was under the impression that Commerce at U/Syd needed to have people who studied Mathematics (that is to say, not General) in the HSC. Something for you to look up on, I think? I'm not sure though..
Yeah im gettin a tutor over the holidays and im doing the bridging course!!!

hahaha...thats wat i heard aswell...i wanna do commerce too. i got 94.25 in my uai and plus extra 5 points from the elite athletes scheme...i thought id be lucky if i made it to eco...but i think that the cut off for b com might increase coz when i went to the open day back in august...the marketing lecturer thought it would...but um...who knws
ROFL what'd you expect them to say? Of course they think their university will rise. I think Commerce at UNSW is likely to fall, that seems to be the trend and I think they are increasing capacity, but based on my peers, not that many seem interested in Commerce this year (compared to previous years' students at my school).

I believe Commerce will fall again this year (Not as much as previously, but still a fall)

Commerce has been a traditionally popular subject, a course that many have seen as the 'only' option. However, i sense that many people i switching away from these traditional uni subjects in favour of other pathways into a career such as cadetships etc, and a move to more specialist courses outside uni. Also there is less of an emphasis on students HAVING to go to the popular universities (such as usyd), or even having to go to university at all.

Basically we are seeing demand falling for many previously strong courses, a trend that should see further downward pressure on Uai cut-offs

wat a wonderfull system where university placement is based on market forces rather than the ability of the students to complete the course, especially when the demand side is constituted by those people that society has deemed to irresponsible to drink or vote (from the construct of federal politics its clear that the two go hand in hand) up until the last 12months and the supply side is limited by the established wealthy class thru DFEE places
