it was still daylight, i did use long exposure but I couldnt expose long. otherwise the photo would have been blown out.

Not necessarily the best option, too low of an aperture leads to diffraction

Yes but at that moment its better to take the shot rather than miss it. Even if its bad quality

Took some today with the big stopper. Might come back again for a sunrise as the sky was lacking any interest today.
