I hate chem, had to choose it because economics wasn't running and my other choices were like IT Timber or some shit lol. English is one of my best subjects, but I don't exactly enjoy it lol. 2u math is alright, 3u is requiring the most effort for me, but I should be keeping it. PDHPE and business are great if you put in a decent amount of effort

Chem is awesome. Prelim chemistry is about setting a foundation so its not that interesting in my opinion. However, I love HSC chemistry, it's great.

I don't do any of your elective subjects. Lmao how is History like, is it just loads of writing?

Basically just multiple choice, short answers and essays

Just like any humanities subjects like Economics and Legal it has loads of writing.

What content / skills do you think you need from prelim chem for HSC chem?

I don't really mind chem, but it is quite hard. Its interesting and all, but I'm not sure if I can deal with the difficulty. Currently I'm about in the middle of my cohort.

I did all these + 2U SOR. I found all of them interesting.

Bio gets much better in the second year IMO.

History was a bitch with all the quotes and questions they could throw at you.

Chem was probably my favourite due to my class, teacher and interest in the subject. HSC Chem was harder than prelim, prelim covers a lot of the fundamental stuff. That said, don't be worried if you struggle to grasp some concepts, they get hammered into you over the course. Just make sure you understand it all by the end of prelim.
