I went today to take photographs; I'm thinking of doing photojournalism so I thought it a good idea. Bulllllshit.

There were as many photographers as protestors for Christ's sake. The protestors weren't protesting; they were having a nice social gathering, making fun of bush while patting each other's backs for doing 'something good'. Socialists are retarded.

Oh yeah, and my batteries died halfway through.

PrinceHarry, I don't think Bush is very popular anywhere except the Bible belt. I myself used to think he was misunderstood because everyone disparaged his lack of eloquence in speech, but more recently I've become deeply worried about the narrow-minded intentions of the organisation behind Bush.

As for the protests, 'twas nice and peaceful. I expected something a little more extreme to happen, but I can't say I'm displeased with what went down. Police were all brute dickheads, but that's to be expected.

(Just got home), was a good protest, nice and peaceful, not too many dickheads, even the Anarchists behaved, mostly. Good to see families and old people and whatnot there, it's not just us crazy students
They had fun driving the water cannon around and the riot squads taking their badges off and beating up nude protesters and whatnot, but 9 (number goes up every time I look, I haven't checked the news since a friend's place last night) out of thousands isn't bad on the arrest front.
Tonnes of media, tonnes of riot police, tonnes of protesters, and a good day had by all. Lots of good photos to be had.
The normal cops, as usual, were pretty nice. The riot police are fucking robocop scary motherfuckers.

calling about 'global warming' where the whole universe is heating up even mars, venus, jupiter is heating up, due to the fact its the sun thats doing it, not us driving cars and shit. wonder how many of these protesters drive cars, use electricity, gas and oil and mobile phones and wear clothes with designer logo? most of these products and services are from global organisations. bet they have superannuation fund (from where they work)invested with global companies too. sad thing is, the APEC and anti-Bush/Howard protests are made up of many school students and teenagers, bogans, emo's, and anarchists who also happen to be some of the largest consumers of commercial goods in the western world.
