Has to be a straight line of you think about it.Yeah. That's why I've never been able to implicitly differentiate anything when the constant is 0.
(y/x)-(x/y)=-2
Let's generalise:
Let y/x=f where f is a function and -1=k where k is constant
f-(1/f)=2k
f^2-1=2fk
f^2-2fk-1=0
(f-k)^2=1+k^2
f=+-sqrt(1+k^2)+k
