I got a call from my art teacher today to say my diary has been called for (she couldn't find it and asked me where I had put it.)

Anyone know what that means?

I'm assuming they think I've cheated, or they don't get it, right?

I did photography just out of interest.

Hmm curious..

My first instinct would be they've found something that makes them think I've cheated or is inappropriate, but that's just me.

Is there anything in your diary that you think might make them think this?

That's what I am thinking, in my own little negative way

In my work do you mean? Not at all, I mean it wasn't ground breaking but it was unique in the idea and composition (I thought, anyway.)

And the diaries are good, hopefully they can clarify whatever they are confused about.

It usually means they don't consider the artwork to be yours OR your teacher has not verified it to say you've done the 85%....

Maybe its very similar to someone else's from a close by school and they need comparisons..

Ahh true about similarity between someone else's.

it can also be if they are unsure about marks like two people disagree
the diary helps to choose which way they will go

ive never heard of them asking for a diary if they think you cheated, mostly they ask for it to see how much effort you put in, how you developed you're ideas etc if they think you just put like 0 effort in but are unsure (and just pulled it off really succinctly)

The very most common reason they ask for it though, is simply cuz they just dont get/understand your artwork, so don't stress

dont worry about it, one of our art teachers is a marker and said that if the diary is called for its only because they dont understand your concept because it might be a bit vague.

they might wanna look on the developments through to your final draft.
