Im confused.

My art teacher called me and said they got a letter that my work is being held back to be considered for express.. does this mean im just being considered or nominated??

I think that's a nomination! Congrats!

Wait all is not lost... on the board of studies website it says:
" Nomination letters will be sent to students and schools in the week beginning 16 November. Nominated students must login to the Students Online website to submit an online nomination form by Monday 23 November. Final selection letters will be sent in early December."</SPAN>

yeh atm all the digital media ppl got their nomination forms, ppl that did other medians are gonna get their nomination later. I presume that it will be monday for everyone else =]

Well my teacher told me most markers ask to see your VAPD to get a better understanding of your work or something

This or they were really dubious because it was so great so they were just checking to see if it was all your own work.

That's pretty cool that they asked to see your VAPD.

Asking for your VAPD....I'd shit my pants if they asked for mine! I just did mine, I had an idea in my head with about half a year to go and went with it, all that's in my VAPD are crappy initial ideas that I ended up ditching anyway. I may have drawn a few sketches of the final idea and that's it. Surprisingly I still got decent progress marks. Go figure.

Yeah same. I had two full A3 VAPDs, two full A5 sketch book VAPDs and a pile of fifty-odd practice paintings and they didn't ask to see my VAPDs and stuff either. I put so much work into my VAPD and I don't even know what I'm going to do with it all now.

it sucks doesn't it? and mine were all perfectly colour matched...i had heaps of collages and stuff..at neatly in those A3 folders with plastic sleeves.

ah well... yeah i know what the hell do i do with it lol?

Perhaps try and sell the really cool stuff? Or frame the collages?
I'm going to try and do that with some of my practice paintings, heh.

half of my class has been nominated but they haven't sent us the letters yet due to a technical mix-up....i am worried.
