I tried the Q's but to no avail. Don't know if it's a silly mistake or my whole approach to these questions is scuffed would be really grateful if someone could clarify

Hmm something here looks like a silly mistake . Can you tell me how you add one quarter plus one fifth plus one twenty-fifth with full working.



Once you finish this redo the two questions that you have done with your newfound knowledge.

First line of working (where it says RHS)
It should be A(1-x)^2 + B(1+x)(1-x) + C(1+x)

ur 4's look a bit cursed ngl.

i think u might benefit from dropping down a pen size to 0.5 and maybe writing smaller/with smaller gaps. When my working out spanned a bigger area, I found it harder to keep track of. but if it aint broke, dont fix it.
