With week 7 and 8 around the corner the assignments, tests, speeches and science practicals are piling up. How are you coping and what advice do former prelim students have for the 2006 preliminary year?

Also, who has the most assesments? :p

Me:
-Speech
-Maths test
-Economics test
-Chemistry practical
-Physics practical
-Physics assignment

pubert the advice that i and most people will give you is to start them all now ! every little bit you do, if it's revise one page for economics for one hour will all add up in the end and will take a big load of stress off you. but i can't remember me having so much assessment in the start of year 11. it all started building up in term 2. well anyways im sure your gonna be fine ! also despite all the workload that i was faced with, i can say that i really loved year 11.

yes before year 11 and at the first term i use to always do things at the last minute. but trust me you'll learn from it and throughout the process of the year you start changing your habits and your study patterns will improve =]

lol. try having 2 assignments due in 3 weeks .. and half yearlies in 5 weeks.

thats the current situation im in adn im in yr 12.

my advice; start ur assignments early. don't be afraid to ask your teacher for pointers and doing be afraid to stay back at lunch to understand concepts in subjects .. like maths.

i mean, in lunch.. i rekkon all u'd be doing would be playing aound, chatting, etc. doing nothing productive whereas if you stayed back in class with teacher to further understand a topic, u won't be wasting ur time.

also when doing ur assignments (ones that don't require internet access. Eg: english essays, etc); unplug ur internet.
i found that really helpful when i was doing my business asignment (although, i started on it early .. like before the end of last school year) and i got 20/20.

shows how possible it is .. although. english assignments are killing me.

the moral of my ramblings:
1 - start ur assignments early.
2 - DO.NOT.PROCASTINATE (or however u spell it)
3 - Relax once in a while. don't be a study freak ... have a time off
4 - If your having trouble; DO.NOT.HESTITATE.TO.ASK.YOUR.TEACHER. That is what your teachers are there for .. to help you learn.
5 - If you stilll don't understand it, ask the smart person in the class (there's ALWAYS one).
6 - ENJOY YEAR 11 !!!!!!

My advice to you guys who are suffering from piling up assessments is to work on your time management better. Don't waste time doing nothing or procrastinating, get started early!

Wow, 4 exams already?, I only have 1 coming up, but that's maybe because I don't have to do the 2 unit maths assessments.
