This. The only way to be able to handle any graphics settings above "Medium" without spending over $4000.. Is to just buy a PC. Gaming simply cannot be done adequately on a laptop.
Mine cost about $1400 (it was premade) and yeah, it can game. Not very well, but most issues are usually fixed by turning down the graphics settings on games. I don't play too many AAA titles on my laptop, but I've found that's worked for every game but Dead Island, it's only just barely playable D:I already have a good enough PC for gaming
I'm pretty sure their are laptops that are in the $1000-1500 range which can game lol
How do you find yours handles games? I have the same stats (slightly smaller hdd)i got one for 700 bucks exactly 1 year ago: i5, 8gb ram, 1gb nvidia graphics, 750 HDD. best deal ever.
i only play MOBAs and RTSs which arent as heavy on the graphics as some other games like FPSs, so in that sense, they handle perfectly.Mine cost about $1400 (it was premade) and yeah, it can game.
