So im thinking of doing bachelor of science at UNSW, cutoff is 85 atar and guaranteed is 86. Their website says that if you achieve a band 6 in earth environmental, thats 3 bonus marks and a band 4 in mathematics is 1

So if i achieve an atar of 82, my selection rank becomes equal to someone with an 86 atar. Does that mean im guaranteed entry into B Science?

Also whos eligible to apply for bonus points, anyone who achieves the required band for certain subjects which give bonus points or do u need other special requirements which gives you access to those points.

Yup if you reach the cut off mark then you will be sent an offer.
Most acceptances for universities ( apart from USYD) is a numbers game, if they have left over spots in the course they let people who didnt reach the atar in, so don't stress out if you just fall short, you might get an offer regardless.
