Re: Let's determine our ATAR.

We had a larger class. Chem used to be 20, Physics used to be21, Extension 1 used to be 15.

Problem is that there isn't a lot of push to exceed around here... so people bomb out.

2U Maths is currently 40

School size is 900 - Year of 120

Looking at least 85+ probably well into the 90's.

98+ so long as your cohort doesn't turn out to be a one-off lemon given your exceptionally small classes.
Yeah the small classes make it difficult.

Wait i dont get it, why would the class affect his mark?
If his in rank 1 (assuming that he maintains this rank) in everyone shouldn't he be determining all his hsc marks by himself?

The class would affect his mark (as he is 1st) if and only if some other person in the class got a higher external mark than him - and thus, as the person ranked first, he would get that external mark as his 'moderated school assessment mark'.

Your proposition is right IF he also gets 1st in all the externals.

122 isn't too bad a school rank, so I'd say he's in with a shot for mid 90's, maybe even higher depending on what his cohort and pull out.
