English Advanced: 12/24 - 76% (0.3% weighted from 10th place - he beat me by 1 mark in the mid yearly - tied for 11th place)
2U Mathematics: 5/16 - 65% - Extremely hard exams, most students scoring 55-65% in 2U Maths receive 85%-90% in the HSC.
Physics: 8-9/14 - 70% (6th-9th place all differ by about 0.5-1%)
Business: 5/44 - 82%
SOR: 8/15 - 68% (F'd up first exam)

Do you want class averages as well?

School Rank 2011: 354 in maths and english

ATAR estimate please? Looking for about an 86 to get into UNSW Comp Sci (We get +5 ATAR points since we're disadvantaged). If I'm not looking at an 86, how can I improve? I need 86 without the 5 extra points. >.>

FYI: I improved my rankings in Business, Eng Adv, 2U SOR. My physics ranking improved significantly from year 11, and am above average in everything I do except the practical reports! If I improve that, I can get into 7th place, possibly 6th! In Math I am getting beaten by 3u students and one student who dropped 3u in year 12.

At the moment your looking at low 80s, probably about an 82 or so - you need to improve across the board to get 86

Fair enough, hopefully I can improve to push my marks up even more. The 82 is without the 5 extra points, right?

I reckon you should get a solid 80+, without the bonus points. For lower ranked schools, it's hard to be as accurate as mid-higher ranked schools though.

Right now you should be spot on for your target (with bonus points) :) Though, try to improve (of course) just to make sure you get in with no problems and don't just scrap through (or, unfortunately, possibly miss out by a few decimal places).

That's great to hear! My backup is Software Engineering at UTS which is an 85, and if I score 80 and put it as my first preference I get instant admission. This is like music to my ears, I'm so glad, thank you.

Are you saying I'll be getting an 86 which is including the 5 extra points, or without them? And I definitely agree that I need to improve, right now I've been focusing on boosting up my physics mark to an average of 75% instead of 70%, and SOR to 80% as well. I also want to up my Business mark from an 82% to around an 88% just to be secure. Thanks everyone!

With bonus points. Remember, it is not so much the marks that matter right now (Don't hate me D94), focus more on getting the highest rank you can get - the rest will follow.

Personally I would have dropped Mathematics instead of Physics

Hmm, some are saying definite 80s, but an 81 doesn't seem so definite. 86 is good since that assures me a position in my course at UTS, but I want that UNSW position instead. Hmm...

Thanks for the comments as well, I appreciate it.

Just realised that in the 2U SOR exam I came 7th with someone else out of 14... I came last in the first exam but it's weight was extremely low, and only 3 students received 18-19/20... The average was like 15, so I actually should be ranked 7-8/14.

Physics I'm still 8th or 9th, except the marks in between 5th-9th are all around 3-4% difference, which is around 0.5% in weighting.

English Advanced marks are all even - I'm only 0.3% away from 10th place, and around 1.5% weighted from 8th place.

Hopefully that should give me a more accurate reading?
