i realise english is dragging me down but even with this bad ranking, i still got a high for my report ._.

If English wasn't hurting him and he was ranked top 10 would he get 99+? If he was in the 95-96 range, he would need to get top 30~ in English, top 20 in Bio, top 20 in Chem, and top 20 in Mx1.

What he said. And no - your dream is not far away. You will get band 5/6 in Maths which will give you bonus points. Work hard on English and you will reach your goal indefinitely.

English is very crucial - what ATAR is your desired course? Rank 45 would get your 87~ I think, but don't forget your other subjects are important too. I'd say get your rank too 30~ for a solid chance of getting into your course. But you also have bonus points! Don't be worried rn just see how this plays out

mind you op can still get mid band 5 for english
2/5th of my grade gets band 5-6 for adv and its ranking is like 400
op's school is top 100 so should expect that to be band 5 range
