For context I go to a 400+ ranked school.
Subject RankTrial MarkMy Average Mark (weighted)B6/year (2023)B6/year (2022)
English Advanced1/883%88.9%00

I know I can definitely improve my legal and investigating marks a lot because I procrastinated and only studied the night before my trials lol
What is my estimated ATAR from looking at this?
Thank you!

From this information, your performance seems consistent with an ATAR between 80 and 85. There is a unique aspect to your overall performance related to the fact that you are ranked first in three subjects, which I will elaborate on below.

Mathematics Standard 2 and Visual Arts are your best-performing subjects. The same likely applies to your performance in English Advanced, although it could also be slightly lower than the other two subjects. Regardless, all of these subjects are likely to make a very good contribution to your ATAR. The fact that you are ranked first in each of them is important in the event that you also achieve the highest HSC exam mark in your cohort in one or more of these subjects. This is because in such a case, your Assessment Mark will be made equal to your own HSC exam mark, which removes the potential limitation of having it be determined according to the HSC exam mark of a peer. At the same time, it gives you a great opportunity to achieve a high overall HSC mark, which can in turn allow you to achieve an ATAR that significantly exceeds this estimate.

Your performance in Legal Studies also seems favourable, although slightly lower than in your better-performing subjects. Based on this, there may be additional room for improvement in this subject, and you can definitely improve your overall performance in this subject by doing your best in preparation for your Legal Studies HSC exam.

Your lowest-performing subject appears to be Investigating Science, which indicates that there is the most room for improvement in this subject. As such, you may wish to consider focusing more on this subject as you prepare for its HSC exam, allowing you to improve your overall performance and ultimately maximise your ATAR.

I hope this helps! 😄

i applied for primary education at newcastle uni which i got for early entry! i’m pretty sure it’s unconditional so i don’t need any ATAR and if i did it’d be pretty low.

ohh damn nice so you're set! you're doing great btw especially considering the low b6 rate in a lot of your courses, you might actually increase those numbers 🎀
