What's the required ATAR for undertaking a medicine course at university?

not sure abt other universities but to do medicine straight out of high school the under grad double degree is like 99.95 ATAR at usyd

Depends on the university - UNSW average is 99.60 (Can get in with high 98 atar and high UMAT)
USYD double degree is 99.95
UWS/Newcastle - Is a hurdle of about 96.5 atar (iirc)
Most of the interstate unis are high atar (Flinders i think was 99.8+ for example, UQLD maybe 99+)

Newcastle,is 94.3 WSU is 95.5 or (93.5 if you live in the western suburbs)
Both are just hurdles - in other words if you get that or higher, you move to the next test which is a high enough UMAT score.
If you get a high enough UMAT then you get an interview.
All the other undergraduate med courses have much higher ATAR requirements.
