Given this information, your performance seems consistent with an ATAR between 74 and 78.

English Standard appears to be your best-performing subject, meaning that it is likely to make a positive contribution to your ATAR. You should therefore ensure that you maintain (and if possible, improve) your performance by thoroughly preparing for your English Standard HSC exam.

Economics, Business Studies and Mathematics Advanced are some of your lower-performing subjects. Based on this, you may wish to address any potential areas of improvement in these subjects as part of your preparations, which will hopefully allow you to avoid making errors that would limit the contribution of these subjects to your ATAR.

On the other hand, your position in Chemistry seems to be the least favourable compared to the rest of your subjects. This could indicate that there are certain aspects of the subjects that you may not be fully confident or comfortable with, which you could emphasise as part of your preparations for your HSC exam. Of course, you know your own weaknesses best.

In terms of whether you can achieve a high ATAR if you achieve HSC exam marks in the band 6 range, this depends on your specific goal. Generally speaking, since the HSC exams contribute the remaining 50% of your overall HSC marks across your subjects, HSC marks in the band 6 range can definitely help you maximise your ATAR, potentially making a comeback.

I hope this helps! :D

thanks, do u think an atar of 88 is achievable? also do you have any tips for how to thoroughly prepare and become confident for the HSC as it is around 10 days away? Should I continue to revise/learn content again or just go straight into past papers?

No worries, an ATAR of 88 should be achievable, although your chances will heavily depend on your performance in your HSC exams. Your preparations for each of your subjects will obviously be different. With that being said, your minimum goal should be to know and understand the content. This is especially applicable to Business Studies. If you find that you still have time, it would also be good to complete past papers as that would allow you to familiarise yourself with the HSC exam and apply your knowledge of the content.

The same applies to some of your other subjects, mainly English Standard and Mathematics Advanced, although you may be able to focus on completing past papers for English Standard since your position in the subject indicates that you would be comfortable doing that. Mathematics Advanced is trickier since you definitely need to understand the content, but you must also complete past papers as solely knowing the content is not sufficient for favourable performance. You should try to establish a balance between revising the content and completing past papers, so that you can do both without undermining either. When completing past papers, you may identify areas of improvement, which you can address by reviewing the content and completing more past papers to determine whether you were able to address them.
