I'd say 200's, but they did extremely well last year so probably in the early 200's

SUPGUYS!

We need your school rank too.

A Victorian here, just wondering, why is this relevant? It isn't that relevant in Victoria, although a better school usually means better "moderation"/"scaling" (not sure if that is HSC terminology), but not all the time and top scores aren't rare (uncommon) from non-top schools.

It just gives us a way to frame where the student could be positioned in regards to the state. For example someone performing very well in a rank 300 school compared to a person performing mid-range in a top 5 may be inferior. Of course we can't ascertain for sure, but it does help us make a better prediction.

I'd estimate 98.00-99.50 on the grounds that he's topping all his subjects at a rank 103 school which is generally pretty good - this is assuming that it is truly a rank 103 school.

I think we can all state that apart from top 30, the rankings are fairly skewed due to tails and fluctuating results.

well caboufram and i obv go same school. last year there was about 30 90+ atars and dux =99.2 or something. but then again they were by far the best cohort through the school

Not really.

Anything inside the top 100 is pretty good and will probs not drop below 200 anytime soon.

My school in 2010 was similar to yours in 2011 and they weren't even the best year, and I came 5th and only got ~95 the next year. So, don't just rely on your school.

idg your point rip. youre saying that your school had similar circumstance with previous cohort to you, but then your cohort didnt do well?

thats kind of what im implying

oh right. well what im saying is that the chances of my grade replicating 2011 cohort is highly unlikely, hence we wont be getting way up in the high 90's
