There's a guy at my school who's on the verge of getting an N-award and repeating the Preliminary course because his attendance is currently just below the 85% bench mark because he went on holiday for a few weeks. So, if he's away in any of the next few days, he's pretty much screwed.

Anyone know what is the minimum no. of % of attendance to receive a Preliminary Certificate?

Can you get an N award for having >x% attendance?

For as long as I can remember, I've been to school everyday ever since year 7. x]

yr 7 - 100%
yr 8 - 3 days absent
yr 9 - 1 day absent (strike)
yr 10 - 100%
yr 11 - 100% (so far)

Depends from school to school maybe? I'm pretty sure the BoS does set a minimum attendance level of 85% (or perhaps it's 80%).

They tell you when you are lining up for Year 12 next term.

I think I've only taken 1 day off for the past few years, and I took a week off in Year 8 because I was on crutches - but yeah, my attendance has been pretty good.

Might take a few sickies next year to study though.

Mainly partial truenices.

Days off for sickness, athletics carnivals, swimming carnivals, cross country etc.

So far this year (Year 11) about 20 days. I got really sick with Bronchitis for 2 weeks and I've had days off here and there for sickness/bludging. x]

Wow, we don't have anything like that.
Don't think the school even checks if you have perfect attendance - they mainly care about attendance on 'College Community Days' like Swimming and Athletic Carnivals.

Lol, same in my school. You get a letter sent home if you don't go to those.

I think we get a phone call home... but like most other schools don't really care.

haha its pretty cool honestly its "principals awards" because the principal told me that attendance is crucial for the work environment so yeah i was pleased.
