I went to a computer auction in liverpool today and got a 21" Dell triniton for only $240 !!

She is talking about a CRT monitor. CRT monitors have a response time of <1ms

Yeah i used to go to all the auctions and re-sell. Thats how i started my ebay business, but now i cbf, they're all out west, so it takes ages.

they have to be checked prior to auction for basic things like power, display, any scratches...

mine seems perfect tho

Some auction houses have warranties because it's ex-display or older model stock.

UNSW chucks random stuff. Check the skips as you walk past. There's some really good deals in there. Like (off topic) my 2 * 1.5 metre desk that TAS skip provided me...

they're in the saturdays SMH paper. Usually in the news review. There should be some coming up soon, as they usually stop over Christmas.

It was next to the skip. They cut the legs off wooden tables and throw them in the skip, but this one is all metal legs...
Lugging it up to room is different... Needed help there.
