Australian drama monologue (1 Viewer)

It has to be from an Australian play... other than that anything is open.
Any suggestions??Are there any characters with abit of substance??

our class was given a piece from Blackrock, Aftershocks, Spiders or Armadaeus (i probably spelt that last one wrong). The first three are Australian and the first two are female but you could easily change the references to yourself in Spiders. Aftershocks was slightly more challenging because the segments were older women and men rather than a teenager, but it could still work.

hehehe, or you could do the monologue from Cosi, Doug's one =P

Check out 'Still Angela' by Jenny Kemp. It is basically a 'celebration' of a woman's life, as it explores the daily routine and the need for change and to broaden your experiences. The character of Angela is played by three actors, though you could easily adapt it to a monologue, especially the opening scene.
