For Youth Allowance, full-time study means:
* your course is considered full-time by the institution where you are studying
* you are doing at least 75 per cent of the full-time workload and you will finish the course in the minimum 'allowable' time
* your course attracts a HECS loading of at least 0.375 per semester, or
* if none of these apply, you are attending a minimum of 15 hours a week of face-to-face study.
Basically, if you're classified as doing full-time study by the uni then you don't have to worry about how many contact hours you have a week. Doesn't influence your allowance.
