I applied for both these uni's for B Arts just as another way of getting into primary teaching but does anyone know exactly what this course involves?

The Bachelor of Arts degree has a few major areas of study. The best way to study the Bachelor of Arts degree is to choose a major that you will enjoy. There are a few to choose from like English Text and Writing, History Politics and Philosophy, Languages and psychology. The Bachelor of Arts degree (no matter which major you choose) will allow you to apply for the Bachelor of Teaching (Primary).
