I don't really get the differences between these two but I'm definately want to business- related course...
Which one is better? In term of the knowledge gained within the courses and future career prospect?

Btw Im more keen on doing sth finance- related (and dreaming of having my own business in the future :p)

Please give me some ideas and suggestion :D thanks all !

u could do B of BA for one year then transfer to BBA/Applied Finance if you want to do finance too. I did B Comm too majoring in accounting and its pretty pointless, its very basic and didnt even fulfil the CPA/CA (career) requirements for me so i transferred into Professional Accg/ App FInance after a year which has a much better structure and fulfils all requirements needed to pursue a career in that field

When you transferred to that Professional Accounting degree, did you have start as a first year student or did the Accounting major allow you to start second year? Am considering this option depending on how I find this BCom degree.

Well i did ACCG100, ACST101, STAT170, BBA102, ECO111, MKTG101, ACCG101 and ISYS100 (planet unit) in my first year. I did stat170 as an elective as it wasnt required (cause everyone else was doing it i thought why not) So all those units are required for Prof Accg too so yeah you get credit for them and you go straight to second year units.

Business Admin is kinda like a "jack of all trades, master of few" whereas commerce is a more specialised degree.
I agree with crazy_paki123 that you should consider doing the applied finance degree if you want to work in the finance industry later.

Is transfering from Bcomm to Bcomm professional accounting hard?, i got offered a spot in Bcomm because i only did general maths and didnt notice that the normal commerce degree doesnt meet the cpa/CA requriements

Easy as pie mate. I think all you need is a 3.00 or maybe it was 2.5 cant remember but yeah its not hard at all. Just do the units that dont match as electives so u dont waste ur time.

Alternatively you can move your preferences, and apply for the January 20th round and you may well get into the respective course/courses.
