What raw mark should I be looking to get (/105) for a band 6 in advanced english?
I'm ranking equal 1st in advanced, my school rank is normally between 90-100, and on average we get between 10-15 band 6s for advanced english. I'd really like to be reaching a mid band 6 range at the least, so can anyone tell me roughly what raw mark in externals I should be getting to reach this? Thanks :D

They must mark like pretty hard if in some years a 65 RAW goes to a 81. Why don't teachers mark like that at school, so instead of giving us 16's and 17's they should give us 13 to 14 /20. It would get us used to the hard marking.
I am pretty sure some schools do. I know a teacher in my school that refuses to give 20 because apparently there's no such thing as a perfect essay and there's always room for improvement . _ .

Depends on teacher tbh, My mod A got 19/20 for hy and 13/20 for trial, now i'm honestly shitting bricks on whether to change it or not.

well, technically 20/20 does not necessarily mean that the essay is perfect, but it's an exemplary response of how to best answer the question and "tick all the boxes" of what's required to achieve high marks.

i'm pretty sure some responses will go beyond what is required, and HSC markers call them "super scripts" that could theoretically score 25/20 or 20/15 as they are comparatively far better than all of the other responses
