At my school two teachers have taken long service leave right before our trials and it is really annoying me. :burn: One of them for General Maths is really bad and doesn't teach us anything! She just babbles on about cr@p but apparently according to the letters we get she is "qualifed to teach". I know I can study myself which I do, but it is just that it is really annoying.

Self-teaching would be highly beneficial (for yourself I mean), after all it's you who is doing the HSC.

1. Don't take it personally. The teachers have to take leave at some stage. If its not your year it would be the next, so some group will have to go through it.

2. If the teacher is not very good, then perhaps it's a blessing that she's going. You might get someone better in!

i have the biggest dud ancient history teacher. he wastes lessons and we learn jack. we got him so mad because we have been complaining about his crappy teaching technques since last year, he finally snapped and walked out today.
seriously he has possibly wasted more than 1/2 the lessons we have been to all year.
