hey, im worried about my assessment marks. i know that the ranking is what is important, but my problem is this. in all of my subjects so far, my assessment mark is in the 80s, or band 5s, though im coming first in 4 out of 6 of them. i need a uai of 95 to get into the course i want, and im worried that i wont be able to get the band 6s that will help me get 95. is it possible to get band 6s even though all my marks atm are band 5s?

an assessment mark of 80 does not necessarily mean band 5. band 5 is a hsc mark of 80-89. assessment marks are not to the same standard. and an assessment mark is not an indication of your hsc mark.

he's right...i'd say depending on your school then you'll be heading for band 6s due to your rankings

Hmm you go to Picton High School? (public profile)

There were 13 Band Sixes in your school last year across the board. To secure band sixes with your first rank, you need to smash the externals. By then, moderation can save you.
