Hey everyone I was wondering whether I could get a band 6 in standard. I am currently ranked 1/104, my school is ranked in top 150. My raw mark is 90 and way ahead of 2nd.

Would it matter if my school marks harshly?
So could I get it?

I'm guessing yes since your raw is 90

Remember that it's quite hard to get a band 6 for english standard as less than 1% of the state get it (you have to be in the top 200 students in the English standard cohort in order to get a band 6)

If you get a 90 raw in the HSC you'll definitely have a band 6 so just try do well in the externals.

You'll need about 86ish raw externally for a low band 6.

If your school marks HSC standard then it is a strong possibility that you can get a band 6.
