OMG you serious? That was the same way you had to open that crappy spinoff BF play4free.

Here is my take on EA and the whole BF thing.

BC2 was riddled with bugs. It was a fairly good game, but the bugs and shitty physics engine ruined it. And yes I hate that they are making it more centred on infantry based fighting, instead of working as a team using vehicles. Thus the 'COD' feel.

BF3 is just using an enhanced version of BC2's Frostbite engine, I believe it's called Frostbite 2.0. The only reason why BF3 is so hyped is because it included JETS which BC2 never had. So everyone is thinking that it's BF2 gameplay with better graphics. It's not. It will feel different, due to different engines being used from BF2 in 2005. BC2 was fun for awhile, But I uninstalled it like 3 times since it has so many issues, it's not fun any more, and it's a pain that it takes like 40-50 minutes to patch using 100% CPU power on dual cores.

The PC version of BC2:

It was a game designed primarily for consoles and simply ported to PC as a dodgy prototype for BF3 (to test the new Frostbite engine 1.5 on PCs, since there was no BC1 on PC). It seems though since the engine is designed to cater for consoles as well as PCs, BF3 is still experiencing some server issues. I have yet to play the game, but I expect it to be like BC2 with JETS, hopefully less bugs. Shit thing is, is that it runs through origin..oh great another login to worry about -.- Like I haven't got enough. Why can't EA keep shit simple and just have an in-game login.

I only got BC2 a few months ago but I've had 0 issues with it (maybe they were all patched by then).

Only thing I dislike about game play is no prone (which doesn't really bother me that much) and the whole ~~~updating data~~~ that lasts for like 1 minute after exiting a game each time (total fucking retarded bullshit waste of time) but even that is not worth actually caring about.

Played 42 hours past 2 weeks actually.

Why does the install take so long!!! 2 discs It's been at 17% for a good 20 minutes now. It's increasing at 17.xx increments. This is so painful to watch.

It was installing off the net, and it wouldn't install from the disc. I certainly don't want to waste 11 GB of data usage over a tiny Origin bug. EA need to get their shit sorted.

I fixed it by quitting origin and opening the auto install from the DVD. Really sad how EA can use a beta version of Origin. They must be stupid.

Origin acts like a Activator. Need it opened to play.
A web browser acts as the main menu.
And the main .exe

Ive played heaps of online games, this is the first platform thats needed three things open (4 if you count PB).
