Umm, i did it, but i'm pretty sure that an SGP is for your local area.
Ideas for primary sources (Some of which i used)
Mapping/sketching the area
Doorknocking/walking around and asking people to do surveys and/or questionnaries
Interview with council members
Interview with some of the builders doing the construction
You might want to ask a larger variety of questions as well as use a scale e.g. On a scale of 1-5 (1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest), how much has the construction of_____ affected your everyday life
Taking photos
Interview with local shops/businesses
etc
For secondary sources you could
Do research (der)
Go to the council and ask for brochures/information booklets (Or something similar)
Look for photos/articles of the construction site during/before it started
