According to SMH Icon a few weeks ago, BenQ made the only laptop they'd ever tested which had crashed...and within 5 minutes at that!

Looking at their other products, this brand seems to be the techy "no-name", only without the potential to make anything worth buying. I even saw them being sold at Aldi...Any thoughts?

Has anyone here actually got a BenQ device? Is it crap?

My friend has a cheap digital camera from BenQ. It works fine.

But, you get what you pay for.

BenQ is just an new name for the consumer branch of Acer

I agree with Jm123... I own an Acer/BenQ 17" LCD. It was $699 when I purchased it, which was a great price considering I had bought it a while ago. It's not the same as an Apple 17" Widescreen LCD, but it's 17" and it saves desk space. It hasn't had any problems to date.

Black Acer monitor, works well, it does what I want, crystal clear pictures/text (I don't play too many games, videos, etc).

I couldn't complain.

My CD burner is BenQ brand, and it's lasted almost a year now, and it's still going strong.
