Hi,

Is there any advice you were given for MX2 that really stood out?

Thanks

Memorise all your identities for complex numbers.
e.g. |z.w|=|z|.|w|
Also memorise how to prove them as well.

Emphasise correctness over speed until you are near perfect. Be super critical of your working and of your proofs, think of every possible place where things could go wrong and be painstakingly thorough in ensuring that they don't.

Obviously this style of solving problems will be very slow to start with, but once you have these rock-solid fundamentals, then you can seriously pick up the pace. More importantly, you can speed up without getting careless, as by this stage you will get a pretty good sense for when a solution is correct and when it is not.

Harder 3U is a major part of the 4U exam, so practice it! even if it isn't a major part of your textbook. I've heard around 30% of the 4U exam is harder 3U.

Sounds a bit overestimated... I'd have thought about 15-20%...

(Since the final exam is exactly out of 100 now you can just count the marks I suppose)
