I want to do a bachelor of commerce at unsw and do accounting/finance majors. I most likely will get a 90-91 atar (did three subjects last year so my atar is more set in stone than others...). By a miracle I could get 94 tops. What course should I do to swap into unsw commerce the easiest. Is it best to do like commerce at macquarie and hope the units carry over? Or should I do like arts, economics etc at unsw?

After reading the UNSW Credit Transfer guide, if I did first year commerce at macquarie uni going into an accounting/finance major, 6/8 units I would do that year would be transferable.

Any accounting specific unit that you do at Macquarie you'll almost certainly have to redo because the courses cover stuff in a different order.

Do Economics/Arts at UNSW. Get a high enough WAM and transfer to Commerce.

I was able to get into Commerce with bonus points but looks like you took Gen Maths/Std English :( rip free points.

Probably best to go into economics and try average a distinction so you can transfer to Comm/Eco or something

Yeah I reckon doing a BEcononics in UNSW will most easily get you internally transferred to a commerce degree. Courses in the Eco degree is rather flexible and it allows you to choose those 'WAM Boosters' :)

Economics seems to be the best, but what happens if I get a good WAM but somehow aren't allowed to transfer and I'm stuck doing an economics degree?

You can still major in the specialisation you want :)
