bah, how could i forget animal collective?

feels reminds me of an entire summer encapsulated into 50 minutes... up-tempo and in full swing for the first half, then settles into mellow, contemplative territory for the rest of the album.

and sonic youth's evol is great for public transport at night in the summer.

ooh, and pharoah sanders' karma is just great for any summer-related shindig.
